1K a year Primary purpose is day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost re-imbursing principles relating to the long-term care operation.
The job entails numerous functions for long-term care which include, but not limited to, Keep Aging balanced making sure medicare and medicaid information is correct; making deposits, preparing monthly totals of open invoices, accounts payable, cash disbursements, etc.
; post payments to patient accounts; maintain patient trust accounting; monitor and collect accounts receivable; assist in balancing accounts receivable; prepare monthly financial statements as required and mail said statements; reconcil bank statements; ensure patient admission contracts are signed and appropriately filed; follow established patient fund accounting procedures; assist families in applying for medicaid; and numerous other daily tasks.
