4/10 (Monday - Thursday 10 hour days) Job Description We are seeking a Machinist B to join the team at our Camden, AR site.
Reporting directly to the Sr Manager, Manufacturing Production Planning, this position operates a CNC lathe to make parts, mechanisms, tools or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Essential Functions:
Works under general supervision and following established instructions, the Machinist 2 performs assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices, and techniques.
Fabricates piece parts per work instructions, drawings and specifications through the use of required machine tools.
Inspects piece parts per work instruction and drawing requirements.
Operates machine tools.
Will machine energetic materials remotely.
The machinist may need to work weekends and off hour shifts to maintain schedule.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Uses, adjusts, cleans and stores the tools, machinery and equipment used.
Keeps records and reports of the use of equipment.
May assist in making estimates of the time and materials required to complete an assignment.
Qualifications:
(refer to Career Framework ) Clearance if required Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of related experience.
May require certification in assigned area.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Requires familiarization of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices, principals and properties.
Requires knowledge of basic mathematic principles to solve problems.
Requires the ability to work in a team environment and relate to all levels of employees.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Associate's degree in Machine Tool TechnologySalary:
$22 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
