Provide technical assistance in developing, planning, and managing building design and construction projects. With guidance, prepares plans and specifications for facility projects. Prepares preliminary designs and project cost estimates. Assists higher level engineers and project managers in special projects. Provides technical assistance within workgroups or projects as required. Assists in the review of drawings, specifications and procedures for accuracy and acceptability. In a support role, may review construction management schedules and budget processes. May direct construction projects of limited scope and complexity, or other projects such as office layouts, relocation of furniture and equipment, etc. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient with AutoCAD desired. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills. Strong verbal, written and presentation communications skills.
40%-Construction inspection for required conformance.
20%-Assist in preparing project drawings, specifications and scope-of-work.
20%-Assist in estimating project costs and/or prepare capital expenditure requests.
10%-Preparing purchase requisitions for respective projects, tracking project costs, and other administrational matters.
10%-Other required duties.
Bachelor''s degree in an appropriate discipline and three years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
