Under general direction, performs manufacturing engineering assignments requiring a wide application of basic principles, theories and concepts in the field, plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines.
35%-Perform technical supervision and troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of insulation components, insulated rocket motor cases, composite rocket motor components, propellant formulations, and rocket motor assembly operation.
35%-Originate, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of rocket warhead components.
20%-Perform hands on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert or energetic components, and development program components and assemblies.
5%-Accurately report problems, solutions, and results, in concise written and oral communications.
5%-Perform mathematical calculations for geometric checks and chemical mixtures.
This is an entry level exempt position typically requiring a Bachelor''s degree (Engineering Preferred) in an appropriate discipline/science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
